PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chat system, a server for chat system and a method for operating chat system for reporting that another user appears and it becomes possible to establish a chat at such a time by logging on a chat service.;SOLUTION: A user selects whether to long on the chat service or to desire to immediately start the chat by calling a user, who completes logging-on (S2) and the user to log on (S2:YES) selects a local area desire to perform the chat (S6-S9), inputs user information and executes long-on procedures (S10).
