PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metal panel or ceramics for thermal transfer having a surface coating film excellent in antistaining properties, weatherability, chemical resistance, hardness and the permeability of a sublimable dye even when used outdoors, and the metal panel or ceramics having design effect imparted thereto by infiltrating the sublimable dye into the coating film using the same.;SOLUTION: The metal panel or ceramics for thermal transfer has the surface coating film layer excellent in the permeability of the sublimable dye, antistaining properties, weatherability, chemical resistance and hardness and is obtained by forming a transparent or translucent coating film comprising a ceramic paint compounded with a ceramic component and a highly durable organic component on the metal panel or ceramics.
