PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elevator system inspection operation method and an obstacle removing device after occurrence of an earthquake.;SOLUTION: In this inspection operation method, an obstacle detector for detecting an obstacle existing in the upward direction is provided on the ceiling side of a car of an elevator, an obstacle detector for detecting an obstacle existing in front in the downward direction is provided on the floor side of the elevator car, respectively preliminarily. The elevator car is inspection- operated at a very low speed after the occurrence of the earthquake, the operation is stopped when the obstacle is detected by anyone of the detectors, and an normal operation or an emergency operation is conducted when on obstacle is detected.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2002,JPO
