PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spectrometer for measuring the temperature of a combustion flame.;SOLUTION: This spectrometer 100 includes at least two photodetectors 1, 2, 3, 4 which are at least two photodetectors arranged in positions for receiving light from the combustion flame, and which have different photoresponse band widths overlapped for generating respective output signals, and a computor 34 for finding a difference between the first output signal of the first photodetector out of the at least two photodetectors and the second output signal of the second photodetector out of the at least two photodetectors to find a normalized output signal by dividing the difference by one of the first and second signals, and for determining the temperature of the combustion flame using the normalized output signal.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2002,JPO
