PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To precisely position and to move a laser beam and to suppress the generation of an oxide layer on the weld zone of a work to be welded or the entrapment of a gas at the weld zone.;SOLUTION: An inert gas nozzle 26 directed to a work to be welded is coaxially provided at the radiation port 26 of a converged laser beam of a laser beam head 23 for welding. One or more shield gas nozzles 27 are provided at the outer peripheral part of the inert gas nozzle 26.
