PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oil remover capable of stably and effectively removing oil from an oil containing liquid waste and to provide an oil removing method using the same.;SOLUTION: The oil remover for an oil containing liquid waste comprises a chemical synthetic fiber of which the thickness is several μm-1 mm and the length is several mm-several cm and a surfactant. The chemical synthetic fiber may be a regenerated fiber regenerated from a plastic waste and the surfactant may be an anionic type or a non ionic type surfactant. Further, the oil removing method from the oil containing liquid waste is characterized by mixing the oil remover for an oil containing liquid waste with the oil containing liquid waste and separating the synthetic fiber having the oil adsorbed therein from the material to be treated.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2002,JPO
