PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-strength steam-curing aggregate production process by which high-strength and stable quality of the aggregate can be obtained when the aggregate formation is performed through steam curing. SOLUTION: This production process comprises: adding 10-25 wt.% of high- early-strength Portland cement, and 0.5-5 wt.% of crushed waste glass having a 5-40 m average particle size, to coal ash; subjecting he resulting mixture to dry mixing to form a mixed dry powder; subjecting the dry powder to tumbling pelletization with a pan pelletizer while spraying water on the powder, into pellets having =0.6 mm pellet size; precuring the resulting pellets in an atmosphere of a 30-50 deg.C temperature and a =80% relative humidity, for =8 hr; thereafter, curing the precured pellets at 110-200 deg.C for a =6 hr curing time in an autoclave, to produce the objective high-strength steam-curing aggregate having specific gravity in absolute dry condition of 1.4-1.6; wherein as the coal ash, that having a 5-40 m average particle size is preferably used and as the waste glass, soda-lime-silica glass in a form such as sheet, container or bottle glass, is used.
