BASE ISOLATING ONE-STAGE, TWO-STAGE, AND THREE-STAGE STRUCTURE FOR BUILDING

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide simple and easily executable base isolating one-stage, two-stage, and three-stage structures for buildings without the need for maintenance.;SOLUTION: A base isolating space part A is provided between the ground B and a foundation base D supporting a building E. Base isolating function parts 1 are dispersed and arranged at at least three locations in the base isolating space part A. The base isolating function part 1 is comprised of a lower support 2, an upper support 3 opposed to the lower support 2, and a spherical body 4 interposed between the upper and lower supports 3 and 2. The lower support 2 is provided with an upward dish-shaped surface 2a, and the upper support 3 is provided with a downward dish-shaped surface 3a. The spherical body 4 is in contact with the upward dish-shaped surface 2a and the downward dish-shaped surface 3a, rolls from a predetermined location in any direction at earthquakes, and naturally returns to the predetermined location with reduction in the earthquakes.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2002,JPO
