PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing 2-bromo-3,3,3-trifluoropropene, by which the 2-bromo-3,3,3-trifluoropropene can safely and simply be produced in an industrial scale.;SOLUTION: This method for producing the 2-bromo-3,3,3-trifluoropropene, characterized by reacting 1,2-dibromo-3,3,3-trifluoropropane with an alkali metal hydroxide in water as a solvent at 30 to 130C.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
