PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the use of a chiral non-charged compound as a doping agent for a liquid crystal material, and such a compound and a liquid crystal material. SOLUTION: This chirality is shown by general formula Ia: [(P1-Y1-A1-Y2-M1- Y3-)nL] 2Me, or general formula Ib: [(P1-Y1-A1-Y2-M1-Y3-)nL]M(L'(-Y6-M2-Y5-A2- Y4-P2)n')m, and used as the doping agent for the liquid crystal material of the non-charged compound. Such a compound is shown by general formula IIIa: [(P1-Y1-A1-Y2-M1-Y3-)L]2Me, or general formula IIIb: [(P1-Y1-A1-Y2-M1-Y3-) L]Me(L'(-Y6-M2-Y5-A2-Y4-P2)n')m, and specifically exemplified by a compound shown by formula IV (wherein, the left-hand O-N-O part is shown by formula V; M is titanium).
