PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simplified-type field shearing testing method and device, which is capable of measuring the strength parameter of the ground along an inclined discontinuous surface present in slope ground and horizontal ground at original locations, is compact and light weight to be easily carried, and is assembled easily.;SOLUTION: A load vertical to a shearing plane is exerted onto a small specimen by human force, and shearing stress is exerted by the human force to perform shearing tests. The simplified-type field shearing testing device is provided with a loading plate, of which the upper surface comprises a bearing mechanism for preventing a frictional force from occurring with a pressing plate and of which the lower surface comprises a slide-preventing mechanism for preventing sliding with the specimen.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2002,JPO
