PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily and reliably purify clarified water into almost tap water (called as purified water) by using a catalyst part and to easily exchange, clean and control the catalyst means in the catalyst part. SOLUTION: The purifying unit for raw water is equipped with a sedimentation separation tank 1 where raw water is introduced, several sheets of inclined plates 102 attached to the sedimentation separation tank, an inlet 100 for raw water, a discharge port 101 for clarified water, piping connected to the discharge port of clarified water of the sedimentation separation tank, a cartridge type catalyst device 4 connected to the piping, and a catalyst means 400 packed into the catalyst device. Thereby clarified water can be easily and reliably converted into purified water by using the catalyst device. The catalyst device can be easily exchanged, cleaned and controlled.
