PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cellular porous medium capable of maintaining a thermal insulation effect for a long period of time without showing sinking with time, as an alternative thermal insulation material of a cellulose fiber.;SOLUTION: The cellular porous medium has a waste paper content of 50-70 wt.% and a polypropylene resin content of 30-50 wt.%. Since the cellular porous medium contains the waste paper, each cellulose fiber of the component of the waste paper supports to each other like a net to prevent deflation of the cellular porous medium and trap air inside. Consequently, the thermal insulation effect can be obtained by air bubbles trapped inside, and the thermal insulation effect can be maintained for a long period of time because no sinking with time occurs, which is different from the conventional cellulose fiber.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2002,JPO
