PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for surely discriminating brand-name goods from the copes and imitations of the goods requested in a distribution process by consumers in order to prevent the damage by repeated manufacture and sales of the copies and imitations of the brand-name goods using the trade value because the brand-name goods are generally good in quality and convenient so that they are no sale at a high price.;SOLUTION: In this counterfeit distribution preventing system, electronic identification tags formed by a merchandise ID attached to the merchandise in such a state that the identification number can be recognized by anyone and a registered password number is registered in a data base, a the electronic identification tag is checked in the respective stage of the merchandise distribution process from the production of the merchandise to a consumer through distribution to discriminate whether the merchandise is a true merchandise or an imitation, whereby the copies and imitations of the merchandise can be surely discriminated.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
