PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a linear acceleration dev-ice, a synchrotron acceleration device, a particle beam therapy device, and control method of linear acceleration device which can stably radiate various energy beams.;SOLUTION: The linear acceleration device is equipped with a linear accelerator 1, an ion generating power source device 2 impressing pulse voltage for ion generation with a specific period to an ion source 1a, a high frequency power source device 3 impressing pulse voltage for acceleration with a specific period to a linear accelerator 1, and a means of control 6 controlling the generation timing of pulse voltage for ion generation and pulse voltage for acceleration, so as not to simultaneously generate the pulse of pulse voltage for ion generation and the pulse of pulse voltage for acceleration when it is in the state of standby, and so as to simultaneously generate the pulse of pulse voltage for ion generation and the pulse of pulse voltage for acceleration at every specific period when it is in the state of operation.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
