PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact SPR phenomenon measuring chip and a SPR phenomenon measuring device which can measure the wavelength spectrum of SPR phenomenon without big spectroscope by utilizing profitable light source.;SOLUTION: This optical waveguide SPR phenomenon measuring chip has SPR phenomenon measuring portion which has metalic thin film 16 directly connecting optical waveguide and core of optical waveguide, and spectroscopic function 19, 20, and 21 which have the function to separate incidence light to SPR phenomenon measuring portion and outputting light from SPR phenomenon measuring chip. SPR phenomenon measuring device has SPR phenomenon measuring chip, or light measuring device 22 which measures the outputting light from spectroscopic function. We can get compact SPR phenomenon measuring chip and SPR phenomenon measuring device without special spectroscope device by letting SPR phenomenon measuring chip accommodate optical waveguide and letting optical waveguide have spectroscopic function.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2002,JPO
