PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide ultrahigh speed time-resolved fluorometric spectroscopy capable of obtaining the time resolution spectrum of weak flucerescence of a wide wavelength region at once with high time resolving power.;SOLUTION: In ultrahigh speed time-resolved fluorometric spectroscopy, a optical Kerr shutter due to optical Kerr effect caused by electronic response is constituted and highly repeated femtosecond pulse laser beam is used as gate beam 1 to open and close the shutter and a sample 4 is irradiated with separate laser beam or beam subjected to wavelength conversion and emitted fluorescence 5 is temporally discharged by the shutter and spectrally diffracted to obtain a spectrum by a multichannel photodetector.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
