PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform the measurement of formaldehyde in the atmosphere containing acetaldehyde by fluorescent induction without separating the fluorescent induced compound of the acetaldehyde.;SOLUTION: In this method, the formaldehyde concentration is measured by emitting, to the fluorescent induced compound obtained by reacting formaldehyde with a dione compound such as cyclohexane-1,3-dione or the like and an ammonium salt, an excitation light of a wavelength which never excites a fluorescent induced compound obtained by reacting acetaldehyde in the same manner (451.0 nm when the dione compound is cyclohexane-1,3-dione).;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
