PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prolong the life of a scroll by enhancing abrasion resistance of the surface of the internal circumferential wall to prevent damage such as hole breakage.;SOLUTION: The twin flow type turbine housing has a partition wall 4 provided to the internal circumferential face in a scroll 3 which divides the gas passage 2 into gas passage parts 2a and 2b along a turbine shaft direction. The housing has a thermal spray coating 5, which is formed by means of thermal spraying of chromium carbide onto the surface of the internal circumferential wall in the scroll 3 with a high-speed flame spraying method. The housing also has a thermal sprayed thicker coating 5a in the vicinity of a tongue part 3a at the winding end area of the scroll 3 than in the other region.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2002,JPO
