PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid such an occurrence that the body part of a paper feed cassette is set in the body of a recording device in the condition that the lid of the paper feed cassette capable of exerting various effects specified is not put in place.;SOLUTION: The paper feed cassette 50 is furnished on the side faces with second rails 6a and 6b which are engaged with the first rail 117 formed on the body side of the recording device so as to make guidance of the cassette setting in the body of recording device. A rotary member 7 furnished with a stopper part 7a and lever part 7c is installed rotatably near the end of the second rail 6b. When the cassette 50 is to be set, the forefront 117a of the first rail 117 advances on the route exhibited by the broken line, and if lids 2 and 3 are not in place, the advancing route is intercepted by the stopper part 7a so that the cassette 50 is hindered from being set in the body of the recording device.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2002,JPO
