DISPLAY METHOD FOR CORRESPONDENCE BETWEEN cDNA SEQUENCE AND GENOME SEQUENCE, RECORDING MEDIUM, SEQUENCER DEVICE AND PRIMER DESIGN METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display method for displaying a correspondence relation between a cDNA sequence that has an exon/intron structure and a genome sequence graphically in a plain manner. SOLUTION: From a similarity retrieval result regarding a cDNA and a genome, information on base position, similarity or the like of both ends of a pair (exon) of partial sequences that has a similarity is extracted. Among the pieces of the extracted information, information of a partial sequence pair that is judged to be unlikely to have significance in terms of similarity/sequence length or the like is eliminated. Moreover, the consistency in orientation/order between the exons is examined to select only an exon that covers the cDNA by a predetermined ratio or more and clearly shows relevance to the cDNA. Regarding the selected exon, its base position on the genome sequence is displayed on an axis 1 in a graph as a line segment, and its base position on the cDNA sequence is displayed on the other axis as a line segment, so that an intron/exon structure can be visually confirmed as line segments in juxtaposition.
