PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and device that can efficiently transmit DSI(Delay Sensitive Information) and NDSI(Non-Delay Sensitive Information) via a communication link (e.g. access link) with a limited bandwidth.;SOLUTION: This invention provides the transmission method and device that transmits NDSI without segmenting it while monitoring reception of DSI. Upon the receipt of the DSI after that, the transmission method and device uses a network layer protocol (an IP layer of the OSI model or other layer 3 protocol) to perform segmentation of the NDSI on the basis of various parameters of the received DSI. Thus, the transmission method and device can transmit both the DSI and the NDSI through a communication link, especially the communication link with a limited bandwidth while dynamically segmenting the NSDI.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2002,JPO
