PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structurally simple and easily usable apparatus which accepts only empty aluminum cans at a generation site or a primary collection depot to compress them for the convenience of transportation and storage.;SOLUTION: The compression apparatus of empty aluminum cans is composed of an empty aluminum can storage and compression chamber whose front side has an open and shut door and is gradually wider than the back side, a magnetized pressure lid equipped with an empty can chute, and a compression device to crush empty cans in the chamber. The compression device includes two hydraulic cylinders installed on each side of the chamber, and connecting arms to transmit the vertical movement of the hydraulic cylinders along both sides of the chamber to both ends of the pressure lid.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2002,JPO
