PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To permit expressing a variety of image information comprising projected lines which can be read by means of the sensibility of fingers on the surface of a work by processing the work such as a soft metallic plate or a synthetic resin plate having plastic deformability from the surface side thereof.;SOLUTION: The work is positioned on a hard flat surface, a plate like cutter 54 which is formed double-edgedly is pressed down from the upper side of the work W, the work W is pinched between the cutter 54 and the hard flat surface, raw material of the work W is forced aside so as to form the V shape corresponding to a blade shape of the cutter 54, the raw material which is forced aside to both sides of the work is heaped up and deformed and, thereby, the projected lines 2 having a reverse W shaped cross section which consists of two ridge lines and one groove line between the ridge lines is formed on the surface of the work.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
