PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a centralized monitoring system and a centralized monitoring center therefor by which continuous meter-reading can be efficiently performed by reducing the daily work burden of an operator.;SOLUTION: The centralized monitoring center 1 is provided with a meter- reading starting time memory 44 storing meter-reading starting time to start continuous meter-reading, a meter-reading schedule preparing part 42 for preparing the daily meter-reading schedule of each of terminal equipment within a preset continuous meter-reading period to perform continuous meter-reading, a clock 45 for measuring time and a meter-reading request part 46 for requesting meter-reading to each of terminal equipment on the continuous meter-reading day while referring to the meter-reading schedule prepared by the meter-reading schedule preparing part 42 when the time measured by this clock 45 becomes the meter-reading starting time and each of controllers collects meter-reading data from correspondent gas meters in response to the meter-reading request received from the centralized monitoring center and transmits the collected meter-reading data to the centralized monitoring center 1.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
