The invention relates to a method for the seizure of alcohol, possibly found in the alcohol-removed liquor (vinasse), discharged from the distillation columns for drinks with high alcohol content, as well as for the recuperation of the waste heat contained in it. The hot vinasse continuously runs through a vacuum vessel where the alcohol boils, and in the form of a secondary vapour goes back to the column. The vacuum in the vessel is formed by a steam ejector, using the pressure drop of the heating steam, which intakes the secondary vapours from the vacuum vessel and feeds the produced steam and vapour mixture to the heating bubbler of the column. The vinasse from the vacuum vessel goes gravitationally, or by means of a pump to a surface heat-exchanger, where it renders its heat to the treated water, supplying the steam boiler. In this way its residual heat is recuperated. 1 claim, 1 figure
