The invention relates to a supported catalyst for the polymerization of olefin containing: A) a copolymer as support material containing monomeric units having cyclopentadienyl radicals which can optionally be cross-linked by means of Diels-Alder reactions and monomeric units having groups polar, in addition to B) at least one metallocene complex and C) at least one metallocene ion-forming compound. The invention also relates to the production of said catalysts supported as copolymers which are suitable as support materials and to an olefin polymerization process in the presence of a catalyst described in the invention.
