"METHOD FOR THE MANUFACTURE OF A HIGH PERFORMANCE METALLIC MATERIAL AND THE RESPECTIVE HIGH PERFORMANCE METALLIC MATERIAL". The invention provides a highly corrosion resistant metallic material with a shiny aesthetic appearance. The material comprises a passivated steel substrate to which is attached a surface coating comprising a substantially transparent film having a top coating of a UV-cured resin incorporated therein, the resin providing a durable scratch resistant surface. A method is also provided for making such a material. The material is particularly suitable for use in humid, hot and corrosive environments such as kitchens and laundries.
