The tank has at least one pressure stabilised hollow insert with a contents- resistant plastics film superimposed on the insert. The film (4) extends up to the lower area of the inner face of the tank wall (2). The insert has a reduced spacing from the wall when clamped (5) to the tank base inner side. The insert of the tank base extends below the lower part of the clamp. The clamp has a spacing of 100 to 500 mm from the tank base. The outer edge of the film is bonded separately from the clamp.
