In the present invention, there is disclosed a threaded pipe connector comprising a male element(1) disposed at an end of a first pipe (3) and a female element (2) disposed at an end of a second pipe (4) as well as a central sealing means (9) formed by a male element bearing surface (10) and a female element bearing surface (11) which can bear on each other in a connected position of the connector. The male element (1) comprises an external tapered male threading (7) and the female element (2) comprises an internal tapered female threading (8), which corresponds to the male threading (7). The threaded pipe connector further comprises a stop means (12, 13, 21) to stop makeup of the male element (1) in the female element (2) in a set position in the connected position of the connector. The male threading (7) comprises a single male threaded zone disposed on a surface generated by a first straight line of a first cone and the female threading comprises a single female threaded zone disposed on a surface generated by a second straight line of a second cone. The male element bearing surface and female element bearing surface forming the central sealing means are disposed in a globally central zone of the male threaded zone for the male bearing surface (10) and of the female threaded zone for the female bearing surface (11) within which the respective male and female threadings are interrupted. The invention also discloses a threaded assembly of two pipes using the above-described threaded pipe connector.
