Thermo activated adhesive is applied to veneer edges heated and fully softened for continuous pressing of veneer strips conveyed in parallel. Adhesive may be supplied using an adhesive covered filament heated(24) immediately after the mouth of the nozzle supply tube(10), or using a precisely controlled thin jet nozzle placed immediately before the veneer edges meet, or using a heated tape or rotating disc passing through a heated adhesive bath.
