The invention concerns a method to form articles from a refractory castable that contains volatile agents. The known technology for formation of mixtures containing volatile agents entails retention periods of several minutes in one form. See above section, Figure 1. On the other hand, the invention makes use of several consecutive forms with retention time in each individual form of only a few seconds. See right side of Figure 1. The material expense per produced unit is thereby dramatically reduced. In addition, the agents are permitted to creep from the first to the last form, which improves the strength and resilience of the finished product. The invention also includes a form, which is characterized of at least one half-section of the form being steam-permeable.IMAGE
