Mobile device for use in dental practice for recording and transmitting data

The mobile dental device receives and transmits data from a central patient data administration unit. The dental appts. includes an LCD display, various memories, a programmable operating region, and an interface for communicating with the diagnosis or therapy device. Power is supplied by batteries. The diagnosis and/or therapy device is mechanically and electrically coupled to the dental appts. The device can be adapted to a dental X-ray appts. for generating intraoral X-ray images using a radiation-sensitive sensor. The quality of the generated images can be monitored on the display.
