DEVELOPMENT OF A RADIO NETWORK FOR SHORT RANGE MARITIME COMMUNICATION BASED ON THE AUTOMATIC IDENTIFICATION SYSTEM

摘要

The radio network technology of maritime communication aims the transmission and receipt data between ship-to-shore or ships.The main element of the system is the transmission of the ship identity with the details of its direction, speed, position, with automatic way for the public Authority or the vessel trafic management Services.The same radio network covers the access needs to the Internet, file transmission, e-mail transfer and receipt from/to vessel.The system consists on the terminal in the vessel, Digital Radio Cell and management centre of them at the shore.The communications run into the VHF with TDMA SOTDMA modulations. Communication protocol is the TCP/IP. The system covers the security specification of IMO according to the ITU standards.Applications :- Vessel Traffic Management- Automatic reporting of position and identity- E-mail- Internet Access- Transmission and receipt of encording messages.
