The invention relates to medicine, in particular to pediatrics.Summary of the method of determining the gravity form of the congenital hypothyroidism to children consists in the examination of the anamnesis and laboratory determination of the thyroid hormones (TSH, T3, T4) level, in establishing the level of psychic development of the children of different ages by determining the intelligence coefficient (IQ) as a ratio between the psychological and chronological ages and in determining the diagnosis. Where the diagnosis is confirmed in the first month of life and the coefficient (IQ) 83%, it is ascertained a slight form of the congenital hypothyroidism; if the diagnosis is confirmed at the age of 1…3 months and the (IQ) is of 70…82%, it is stated a medium form, and at the age of after 3 months with the (IQ) 70% - a serious form of the congenital hypothyroidism.
