The invention relates to the building materials, in particular to the production of decorative glassware of architectural and construction purpose and may be used in the field of lighting engineering for the production of glass diffusers, lighting fixtures, as well as for the production of high-quality glassware and parfumer packing.Summary of the invention consists in that the composition for obtaining a decorative coating of the glassware includes filler, colorant, water and water glass, in the capacity of filler the composition may contain comminuted clay, sand and glass particles.The process for obtaining of a decorative coating of the glassware includes application of the given composition, drying, for example in the air, and thermal treatment, including heating up to a temperature of 680…750°C with a speed of 6,25°C per minute, maintenance at the attained temperature during 90 min and cooling with the speed of 1°C per minute.The result consists in the possibility of reducing the treatment temperature owing to the introduction in the composition compound of the water glass.
