The noise averting screen is installed next to a motorway and has a foundation together with an above ground construction accommodating sound-averting panels. The noise averting part comprises a vertical part (9) and a horizontal part (10). In the vertical part are transparent, sound-reflecting panels (11) and in the horizontal part are sound-absorbing panels (12). The horizontal part forms part of a supporting construction comprising a pile foundation with prefabricated concrete piles (12,13,14,15) and a foundation plate (16) on which are vertical columns (17,18) supporting a beam (19). On the beam is formed a parking deck.
