The main body of the strike plate (1) is fixed to the door frame via slotted screw holes (2). It has two recesses (4) which can accommodate hardened inserts (6) to take the night bolt and day latch. The inserts are secured and adjusted using bolts which pass through slotted holes (7) into threaded holes in the main strike plate.
