The press has a holder/clamp unit for a folding tool, and parts on press and tool, to hold the tool in the press after it has been released by the holder unit. The cooperating parts consist of a cam projecting from the surface of the tool, and a counter cam on the folding press. The counter cam is moveable between a position when it engages on the cam, and a position when it releases the cam. Both press and tool may have a row of cams/counter cams. Each counter cam consists of a pivoted cam.
