The transport device, particularly for use in horticulture for moving pot plants, comprises two parallel fixed profiles (2), each with a longitudinal row of apertures (20), together with rollers (1) suspendeed crossways between the rollers. The rollers each have at both ends a coaxial pin-shaped projection (13), which is inserted in an aperture of a profile. At least one of the pin-shaped projections is displaceable axially in relation to the other projections, so that it can be brought to a position in which its outermost end is within an adjacent profile. A pre-tensioned spring component (15) is provided for continuous exertion of a force in the center line direction outwards on at least one of the pin-shaped projections. At least one of the rollers has a cylindrical casing (3) and two roller components (4). The roller components each have a roller bearing (9) on the outer ring (6), with which an end of the casing (3) is fixed and in the inner ring (7) of it a pin-shaped projection is accommodated.
