The food preparation device comprises a holder accommodating the food to be prepared and a heat source (2) in heat contact with it. The holder accommodates a drivable drum (1) in which i a fork (12) for stirring the food and which has teeth extending outwards from the inner wall of the drum. The drum is provided with an opening (9) for input and discharge of food. The rotary axis of the drum is adjustable at an angle. Devices are provided for regulating the food preparation temperature. A temperature sensor (8) is in heat contact with the drum and regulates the heat supply from the heat source. The heat source is a gas burner. The drum is provided with a coating of polytetrafluoroethylene.
