The universal, adjustable device for catching cartridges discharged to the right or left from any type of pistol can be adjusted forwards and/or backwards to receive cartridges in its catchment mouth, where they are systematically conducted zig-zag fashion against the inner walls of the catchment device, there to be braked in stages and then forced to move into the cartridge chamber (5) where they finally come to a stop. The device has air holes (11) in its upper (1) and lower sides, left and right (4) sides and in its base plate, which dissipate any explosion gases and also the cartridges.
