A closure device (4) is provided for sealing the feed opening (3) for the washing powder (2). A dosing tray (1) for powder material, especially washing powder, includes a feed opening adding the material to the tray, a connection (5) for a rinsing fluid and an exit connection (7) for the mixture of powder material and fluid. The tray also contains a closure device for sealing the feed opening substantially airtight. Independent claims are also included for the following: (a) a system comprising at least one of these trays connected to at least one washing machine via at least one exit pipe; and (b) a dosing method using this tray, where powder material is added whilst the closure part is open and then the closure part is closed before adding water to the tray, in order to form a mixture of powder material and water.
