The rail track points housing (1) comprises a hollow, elongated component with a lowre wall, a horizontal upper wall and two transversally extending upright side walls. The upper wall is provided with one or more recesses. The housing is preferably produced by extrusion. The housing has one or more extending horizontal parts on its upper side for fixture of track components (12,13,16). The housing has externally extending movable parts on its inner side for the forward and backward movement of one or more points tongues (13,14) or point pieces (7).
