An improved infant formula resulting in reduced constipation, abdominal discomfort and gastrointestinal problem is provided, which comprises (a) at least one protein component, (b) at least one lipid component; (c) at least one prebiotic component, wherein said prebiotic component comprises galacto-oligosaccharides, and (d) one or more nucleotides.
