An adjuvant composition comprising hyaluronic acid for gene therapy either in the sense or antisense direction

A method and composition for gene therapy comprising (a) an adjuvant selected from the group consisting of hyaluronic acid and derivatives thereof; (b) a pharmaceutically-acceptable carrier; and (c) a nucleic acid comprising a polynucleotides selected from the group consisting of a polynucleotides which is antisense to a target polynucleotides and/or a sense polynucleotides encoding a desired specific protein. The composition is suitable for the treatment of retinal diseases caused by neovascularisation.
