A compound of formula I, wherein: ---is absent or a bond, R1 is selected from the formulae shown below formula I R2 is alkyl, cycloalkyl or bicycloalkyl, R5 is H, halogen, aryl, substituted aryl, heteroaryl, or substituted heteroaryl, and the pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof. A pharmaceutical composition comprising the compound of formula I is also described. The compounds of formula I are useful for treating cancer; or for treating or preventing atherosclerosis, restenosis, or psoriasis. The compounds of formula I are useful for inhibiting protein tyrosine kinases and cell cycle kinases.
