Treatment of hides or skins by positioning the hide on a frame and applying treatment liquor under pressure

A process and apparatus for the treatment of hides and skins is described (3). The hide is placed on a support (1,2) and sealed to the support around the edges. A treatment liquor is then supplied under pressure between the hide and support to distend and stretch the hide thus permitting rapid penetration of the treatment liquor.
