A pharmaceutical composition and a method of treatment of female sexual dysfunction (FSD), in particular female sexual arousal disorder (FSAD). Also described is a method of screening compounds useful in the treatment of FSD, in particular FSAD. The preferred embodiment describes the use of a PDE inhibitor (cyclic nucleotide phosphodiesterase inhibitor).
