Apoprotein antigens encoded by the mhp3 gene fur use in vaccines to prevent diseases caused by infection with mycoplasma hyopneumoniae

The mhp3 gene codes for a protein of Mycoplasma hyopneumoniae, which is a bacterial pathogen that causes enzootic mycoplasmal pneumonia in swine. Nucleotides and proteins of the M. hyopneumoniae mhp3 gene and gene product are discussed. Apportion antigens encoded by the mhp3 gene can be used in vaccines for the treatment and prevention of diseases in swine caused by M. hyopneumoniae infection. Methods for the recombination production of apo-Mhp3 are also provided.
